Cookbook author Dr. Al Herz has a vast and diverse background in health, cooking, and education. After earning her Master's in Nutrition and Gerontology, she went on to earn her Doctorate in Science Education on Natural Resources and Environmental Management, focusing on food waste. Professionally, Dr. Al has worked with the Rinker Center for International Programs and the Marion County Health Department's WIC program, which has given her a unique perspective on the intersection of culture, health, and food.
Dr. Al hopes to combine her personal love for cooking and education to help people learn delicious and healthy new recipes to make at home.
