Robert Chester, curator of the Crispus Attucks Museum, presents “Crispus Attucks: From the Beginning.” Learn more about the man widely regarded as the first person killed in the American Revolution.
Chester has been the curator and archivist of the Crispus Attucks Museum for decades, preserving and telling the story of Crispus Attucks. In his presentation, explore 18th century British America, known today as the east coast, and revisit the simple life of a middle-aged free man of color. Crispus Attucks' martyrdom on March 5, 1770, in Boston changed the trajectory of the New World and helped usher in the start of the American Revolutionary War.
