Experience a journey through Indiana's past with this historical walking tour.
Join us for an evening tour of some of the highlights of Crown Hill Cemetery, the nation’s third largest cemetery. Participants will enjoy the Heritage Tour, a private guided walking tour. The Heritage Tour presents the history of Crown Hill Cemetery while visiting the graves of some of the many interesting people buried here, including President Benjamin Harrison. Tour participants will also have an opportunity to enjoy the stunning 360-degree panoramic view of the downtown Indianapolis skyline at sunset from the tomb of Hoosier Poet, James Whitcomb Riley, high atop beautiful Crown Hill. This is a walking tour that will cover about one mile at a comfortable pace for most. Bottled water, insect repellent and comfy shoes are a must! Registration is required and limited to age 12 and up. Participants will need to provide their own transportation to the cemetery. Once registered, you will be contacted with where to park and meet for the tour. The tour is approximately one mile, 1.5 hours.
